Mounds are a visible embodiment of Indigenous people’s connection and relationship to the land. Members and representatives from four of the eleven Federally Recognized Tribes with ties to Knox County provided their perspectives in this exhibition. Homelands invites visitors to reflect on mounds and Indigenous relationships to these sacred places.
